Trans-parenting is a 3-hour seminar focusing upon helping parents and children effectively handle the issues that arise out of the divorce process. FSA Counseling offers the seminar two times each month and it is facilitated by counseling staff.

The information provided in the classes is a result of over 20 years of experience and research working with adults and children facing the challenges of family change caused by divorce or separation. By attending a seminar, you will be guided through the process of looking at these issues through the eyes of children. It is from this new perspective where lasting positive growth will be achieved.

While parenting is the most difficult (and likely the most rewarding) job we will ever have, it does not come with training. When facing the end of a marriage or intimate partnership, adult skills in parenting become “clouded” by emotional distress. Trans-Parenting classes help parents discover their individual path toward healing, which allows increased energy, confidence and growth in the parent-child relationship.
