COUNSELING STAFF

 

Ron Benson, M.S., LMHC

            Ron is the executive director of FSA Counseling. He has over fifteen years in the mental health field working primarily in case management, residential treatment, and organizational development. He is a special purpose faculty in Indiana State University’s graduate counseling program where he is also a doctoral candidate.

 

Irma Davis, M.S., LMFT

            Irma entered marriage and family therapy as a second career. She obtained her master’s degree from Indiana State University, where she currently provides on-site clinical supervision to counseling graduate students.

 

David Pearson, M.S.W.

            David obtained his master’s in social work from the University of Southern Indiana. He has extensive experience in human services, especially with adolescents and veterans. David coordinates the jail and juvenile detention center programs.

 

Alexandra Swackhamer, M.S.

            Alexandra works primarily with survivors of domestic abuse and clients with Medicaid insurance. She graduated in 2010 from Indiana State University with a master’s degree in mental health counseling.

 

Jaymie Barrett Wood, B.S.

            Jaymie is FSA’s deputy director and programs’ manager. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in public health education from Indiana State University and has over twenty years experience in mental health. She works primarily in the batterer’s intervention program, but also coordinates the Victims of Crimes Assistance grant and does extensive community outreach.

 

Sylwia Hodorek, M.Ed.

            Sylwia comes to FSA via Poland and New York. She is currently a doctoral candidate in Indiana State University’s counseling psychology program. She helps teach Trans-parenting and conducts assessments.

 

Thomas Rea, Psy.D., HSPP

            Dr. Thomas Rea is FSA’s consulting psychologist. His primary work is as Regional Hospital’s clinical psychologist.

 

Brittany Snyder, B.S.

            Brittany is a graduate student in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Indiana State University. She brings several years of human services experience, especially in the area of developmental disabilities.
